Thanksgiving in Arkansas

This Thanksgiving we decided to take a road trip out to Arkansas to visit our good friends Joyce & Andy. After an easy 8 hour drive from Austin, we arrived in Little Rock for a 4 day vacation.Andy & Joyce were kind enough to prepare a Thanksgiving lunch, the first one for all of us as married couples. The turkey went on the grill and, 3 hour later, it was a perfect golden brown.

During the week, we had the chance to explore the “Natural State” and take a hike up Pinnacle Mountain. It was only a 10 minute drive from their apartment. The view from the top was worth the 45 minute climb.

A high school that's a National Historic Site? We had to check it out for ourselves. The building is like a scene straight out of a movie set. We were the only people around and we enjoyed the solitude.

Our final stop was at the Bill Clinton Presidential Museum in downtown Little Rock. The modern museum was both beautiful and informative.
